RAY Z has a sporty look and feel with a smoked-finish visor for a motorcycle-like image which makes Ray Z more stylish, aluminum rear wing-shaped tandem rider grab-bar, a new instrument panel with a carbon fiber patterned background, a carbon fiber patterned seat cover material, and dynamic coloring and graphics for character that expresses "Aggressive Sportiness".

The new model adopts air-cooled 4-stroke 113cc engine with CVT (Continuous variable transmission) that delivers smooth start-up acceleration and good pickup along with great fuel economy. The engine is based on Yamaha's engine concept ideal "Blue core" to gives sporty rides with good fuel mileage.

Engine

RAY-Z has a powerful 113cc Air-cooled 4-stroke 113cc engine with CVT (Continuous variable transmission) that delivers smooth start-up acceleration and good pickup along with great fuel economy. The engine is based on Yamaha's engine concept ideal "Blue core" to gives sporty rides with good fuel mileage.

The engine intake/exhaust systems and new transmission settings have been optimized for performance in the traffic and road condition of India.

Its power development characteristics make it even easier to handle for riders and drivability is especially good in the very low-speed and low rpm range to ensure ease and more confidence for beginners.

BS Carburetor with TPS

The engine is fitted with a BS type carburetor with a throttle position sensor (TPS) function. In combination with the settings of the CVT, this helps in the following manner:

  • Ensure good running performance (smooth start-up acceleration and lively passing acceleration)
  • Excellent fuel efficiency
  • Good emission characteristics.
Telescopic suspension for stability

Ray Z has telescopic type front fork suspension which ensures agile handling and running performance with a feeling of stability even over rough roads because of its bigger suspension stroke.

Stylish Meter Visor

A new visor (smoked finish) is adopted on the front that creates a "downforce" image and adds a sporty look to the front view.

Aluminium Rear Wing Grab Bar

Wing-shaped tandem rider grab-bars made of aluminum at the rear have been adopted. They contribute to the sporty look of the body and the "downforce" image. There are also louver-like rids on the inside of the bars that give an impression of strength.

Carbon Pattern Meter Design

The instrument panel has been designed like the image of a sports car cockpit. It features a carbon pattern for the background and the new display fonts have a sporty look to them.

COMFORTABLE LONGER SEAT WITH CARBON PATTERN

A new seat cover material with a carbon fiber-styled pattern has been adopted. This makes the seat more comfortable for the rider. It combines with the rear wing-like grab-bars to create a sporty impression.
